Nicki Minaj stunned at booing during Summer Jam

Rapper and former "American Idol" host, Nicki Minaj, who recently left the show, along with co-host Mariah Carey, due to record low ratings, was loudly booed at New York’s massive Summer Jam concert, held by top hip hop radio station Hot 97.

All throughout Minaj's set, the crowd unleashed a flurry of boos, leaving the Young Money rapper dismayed at the audience's reaction. This year, Minaj has faced heavy criticism about the quality of her music, which may have contributed to the loud booing she experienced at Summer Jam.

Pop singer Justin Bieber received a lesson yesterday in how fickle the music industry can be when he was loudly booed at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, after being presented with the Milestone Award. The diminutive 19-year-old star stated, "I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously." The irony is, had Bieber not been a teen pop star, with his musical abilities, such as playing guitar and the drums, critics would take him more seriously for his artistry.

However, traditionally, with the way the music history and the industry has worked, teen pop stars, including boybands, are rarely commended for artistry and usually have a short career span. The New Kids On The Block were a big teen pop sensation in the late 1980s and early 1990s, selling even more records that Bieber has today, but their fame ended overnight, due to their demographic moving on to the next trend.

For a teen pop star to enter adulthood with a successful career embraced by the public and critics alike, it takes a really savvy manager with an understanding of music history (it rarely happens). Certain career moves must be avoided, thinking of the long run as opposed to short term gains.

The city of Boston, Massachusetts has been through a lot over the past month, so pardon them if they weren’t up for the tardy antics of the forehead, also known as Rihanna, who was hours late to her own concert. When her highness (literally as she’s always on drugs) finally consented to grace the audience with her presence, they erupted into a chorus of boos. Needless to say, Rihanna was not happy with the reaction she received.

President Obama Booed In Miami After Making A Chicago Bulls Comment

U.S. President Barack Obama made a stop in Miami, Florida today and during a televised speech, brought up his favorite NBA basketball team, the Chicago Bulls, who recently beat the Miami Heat in a questionable victory. Obama stated, "I’ve got to get into a sticky subject right off the bat, I know you guys aren’t happy with my Chicago Bulls (booing erupts)...But I just want you to know that the Heat are going to be just fine. They’re going to be O.K.. They are playing basketball the right way."

I don't know who told him to say that (LOL). Immediately everyone started to boo the president. It's not that Miami fans are angry the Heat lost the game, thus ending their great 27 game winning streak. Heat fans would have preferred the loss, if it had to come, happen fairly. The loss arrived at the hands of referees making brazenly bad calls in allowing the opposing team to physically tackle and hit the Heat, which is impermissible court conduct, in repeatedly wrenching the ball from them with no penalty. The Heat lost so many points in this manner and it was out of their control.

If the Heat broke the rules like the Bulls did this week, they would have won, albeit the wrong way. There's nothing wrong with aggressive play, but seeing people physically tackled to the floor NFL style, on a basketball court without penalty was disconcerting. My favorite Twitter comment about the game stated, "The refs ended the Miami Heat's winning streak." Indeed.

R&B group Jodeci was booed off stage in London, England at Wembley Arena, during a 90s nostalgia concert featuring Dru Hill and SWV, among others, after their performance went awry. Group members K-Ci, JoJo and Mr. Dalvin, sans Devante Swing, had trouble getting their performance on track, due to sound issues. Concertgoers also reported the group looked inebriated.

Jodeci is a talented group had their start in the church, but the vices of the music industry enveloped them when they became famous in the 1990s leading to alcoholism, drug addiction, sex addiction, violence, arrests and discord. It's always sad when this happens, but regrettably too many people have fallen into the pitfalls of fame. It's happened so many times and artists need to learn from the mistakes of those that came before them.

Jodeci was one of my favorite groups during my preteen years. When I listen to some of the R&B music coming out today, it pales in comparison to what groups such as Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Guy and Shai did during their hay day. It is my hope the members of Jodeci will find sobriety and stick with it.

Justin Bieber Apologizes To Fans For Being Late To Concert After Being Booed (Video)

19-year-old pop singer, Justin Bieber, was seriously booed by his fans in London, England for being 2 hours late to his own concert. Many parents ended up taking their kids home, due to curfew and school the next day. Fans took to Twitter to complain. TMZ pronounced the "tide is turning" against Bieber.

Bieber apologized on Twitter for the delay, while scolding the media for what he brands an exaggeration of the incident, "I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. And I'm not okay with things being exaggerated. Once again sorry for anyone upset."

Bieber has given no detailed explanation as to why he was late, other than stating there was confusion regarding his opening acts. Still, the Judiciary Report wondered what Bieber was doing that made him late *looks in Ella Paige Roberts Clarke's direction*. Girlfriend, is there something you want to tell us.
